We are Carron and Geoff Stevenson, Two Kiwi Grey Nomads, traveling the world. Currently we are exploring New Zealand, our homeland, in our Motorhome, Eidlewise.
We our travelling with our rescue dog Benji who loves the nomadic lifestyle he enjoys with his humans.
We are free camping our way around New Zealand on a two year road trip.
Membership of the New Zealand Motorhome Association (NZMCA) gives us access to private properties to stay at, along with a travel directory that includes free camping sites, Department of Conservation camp sites, dump stations to get rid of our grey and black water, and places to access fresh water and Laundromats. Pretty much all the things you need to stay on the road full time. The bonus is that the NZMCA has negotiated great discount deals for fuel, electronic equipment and many more things along the way.
In New Zealand and Australia, there is an Entertainment Book you can purchase for $65 which covers specific areas. We have found that this has paid for itself with the discounts we get. The Entertainment Guide also gives a donation to a charity of your choice. If you are going to be in a specific area for a reasonable length of time, it is well worth getting the savings.
We also use a number of Apps on our smartphones to help find places, food and activities which you will find in our blog as it builds.
